Let us introduce ourselves…

I have been a veterinary technician here at Northeast Animal Hospital since 2006, but have worked in the field since 1998. Many aspects of my job are rewarding but I particularly enjoy the surgery, radiograph and dentistry areas.
In my off time I enjoy fishing, boating, hotrods and motorcycles. I have many pets including three cats: Cupcake, my young tabby, Rabbit, my three legged torti and Squeaks my elder cat. I also have two dogs, Buca who is a Labrador and a Great Dane named Audibel, a rainbow boa snake, a few fish and lizards and one umbrella cockatoo, Belve.
Certified Veterinary Nurse
I have been with Northeast Animal Hospital since spring 2009. I am originally from Texas but moved to the bay area in 1990 and earned my associate’s degree in veterinary technology in 1997 from St. Petersburg College. I have always loved animals and am glad that I am lucky enough to have a job that allows me to help owners care for their pets.
I have two cats of my own, Sunshine and Gatita, both orphans that I bottle-fed. I also have a golden retriever named Honey. When I’m not working at Northeast, I enjoy traveling, kayaking and going to the beach.
I’ve been working at Northeast Animal Hospital since September of 2012, having enjoyed working the past 6 years in this field. My favorite part of working here is being part of a team where everyone, from the moment our clients walk in the door, is dedicated to the well-being of the patients. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Sciences from Colorado State University. I worked in equine medicine until 2 years ago when I transitioned to small animal medicine.
I love spending time with my fiance and 2 dogs, German Shorthair Pointers named Cocoa and Lilly as well as cooking and horseback riding. Having grown up in Maine, I enjoy going back to visit any time I can. I love New England!
Lead Veterinary Nurse
Iâm so happy to have joined Northeast Animal Hospital in July of 2014, having spent the last year as a Vet Assistant. I love caring for all the animals here and learning new things every day.
When Iâm not working, I enjoy spending time with Kira, a Siberian Husky; my kitty, Neptune; and taking care of my aquarium.
I have a degree in Marine Science and volunteer at the Mote Marine Aquarium Dolphin and Whale Hospital.
Iâve been with NEAH since January 2015, although Iâve worked in this field since 2006. My favorite part of working at Northeast Animal Hospital is the people! We are well staffed for a smooth flow during our daily operations and everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. When Iâm not working I stay busy with my family- I love spending time with my girls! I also enjoy catching the Cowboys games and fishing âif I could fish for a living I would! I also have 2 golden retrievers; Chopper and Teddy, and a Maine Coon named Mike Tyson âall spayed or neutered.
After spending 3 years in the veterinary field, I started with Northeast Animal Hospital in February 2016. I love how much knowledge my fellow staff members have and the opportunity to work with the advanced technology the hospital offers. Meeting new clients and their pets is one of my favorite parts of my job.
When I’m not working, I enjoy cooking, riding bikes on the Pinellas Trail, spending time at the beach, and exploring St. Pete with my dogs; Leon, a French bulldog; Pancho, an “Olde English Bulldogge”; and Argo, a black lab mix. In addition to the dogs, I also have a ferret named Sam.
My coworkers are exceptionally nice and the whole staff is great with patient care. These are my favorite aspects of working here at Northeast Animal Hospital. Iâve been in the veterinary field for 12 years, and I pride myself on learning on the job, starting out as a kennel technician and moving my way up to becoming a veterinary technician. I truly feel that I have found my passion. Itâs very rewarding to help animals, and save the lives of animals, who are unable to tell you whatâs going on or say thank you!
I was graciously adopted by my boyfriendâs cat, Smokey, who is 18 years old! I have also recently acquired two rambunctious Australian Cattle Dogs: Kona, a girl; and Uni, a boy. I love art (drawing and sketching, as well as viewing), collecting vintage records, being near the water, and fishing.
I’ve been with Northeast Animal Hospital since April 2013 and really like learning things that will help me in the future, though I have to say that the puppies and kittens are my favorite part.
I really love this job, but when I’m not working, I enjoy swimming, playing video games, adding to my mask collection, and of course, spending time with my dog Ray Ray, a yorkie.
