Dr. Scribano
Mark A. Scribano, DVM

Dr. Mark Scribano studied at the University of Florida. He acquired his B.A. in 1983, completed two years of post-graduate studies, and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1989. He is a member and officer of numerous local, regional, and national veterinary and community organizations.

Dr. Scribano's out of office activities include spending time with his family, working in the yard, and fishing. Finally, last, but certainly not least, he is the owner of Northeast Animal Hospital and sees dogs, cats, and exotics with special interest in laser and stem therapy for acute and chronic pain management.

Rizal Lopez, DVM

Dr. Lopez received his doctorate in veterinary medicine at UC Davis, in California, in 1999. He practiced in Oakland, CA for five years, and served on numerous local and statewide associations and committees. In 2002, he served on the UC Davis admissions board. In 2004 he moved to Austin, TX and practiced general medicine for four years. In late 2008 he moved to the Tampa area, and has since joined the team at Northeast Animal Hospital as a general practitioner, seeing dogs and cats. He has a special interest in dental health.

Prior to attending veterinary school, Dr. Lopez served in the US Navy and volunteered for submarine duty as a nuclear engineer for six years. He is engaged and has a fluffy longhaired cat named Snowflake, who thinks she's a dog. When he is not working hard, saving one pet at a time, he enjoys running and playing the guitar.

Dr. Sutton
Gretchen Sutton, DVM

Dr. Sutton earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2009. After spending a short time with Northeast Animal Hospital as a veterinary extern in the summer of 2008, it was clear to her that quality medicine was a top priority to this practice. She is excited to now be a part of the Northeast Animal Hospital family! Dr. Sutton's special medical interests include dermatology, ultrasound, and preventative wellness in dogs and cats. She is a member of multiple national, state and local veterinary associations.

Prior to veterinary medical school, Dr. Sutton received her Bachelor of Science in marine biology from Eckerd College in 2000 and conducted field research with marine mammals and sea turtles for five years. In her time out of the clinic, she enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with her husband, friends and three furry children: Buffett, the "Golden (Retriever) Child," and her three devious felines, Liam, Saki, and Kirin.

Megan C. Davis, DMV, CVA

Dr. Davis earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2010. She has a specialization in medically based acupuncture, which was driven by her commitment to the application of integrative medical treatment. This specialization, used in conjunction with traditional medical treatments, allows Dr. Davis to create treatment programs that enhance the quality of life for her patients.

Having always had an interest in the sciences, Dr. Davis earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Eckerd College in Marine Science, after which she attended USF to earn a Masters in Geochemistry. It was the care of two of her retrievers, Cali and Dakota, which fueled her passion for veterinary medicine.

While attending CSU, Dr. Davis volunteered as a docent of the Denver Zoo. She was also active in several veterinary organizations during her time in Vet school acting in a variety of leadership roles. Having returned to St. Petersburg, she is anxious to become involved in local community activities.

Dr. Davis has an Australian Shepherd named Daisy and two cats, Ro and Gemma. Some of her favorite pastimes included biking, kayaking, boating, scuba diving, and cooking.

Lisa
Lisa Scribano, Bookkeeper

I've been working at Northeast Animal Hospital since 1997. Although I do not work directly with the animals, my favorite part about being here is getting to visit all the pets, not to mention our great staff and wonderful clients.

When I am not here helping manage the hospital, I enjoy running, exercising, cooking and raising our amazing children and pets. I am happily married with three children, two dogs Bindi and Vina, two cats Gueedo and Luigi, two birds, two red bellied frogs and over a hundred fish.

Andrea Gordon-Day, Practice Manager

I've been at Northeast Animal Hospital since summer 1998, but have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Scribano since 1996. I am currently the hospital administrator. Although many aspects of my job are greatly rewarding, I primarily enjoy the human resource part of my position.

On my down time, I enjoy reading, biking, history and traveling. I have a Boston terrier named Daisy and am happily married with two children who are now in college.

Jill
Jill Jaeger, Front Desk Supervisor

I have been at Northeast Animal Hospital since August of 2003. I moved from Northeast Ohio in 1999 to attend Eckerd College where I graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies. The most fulfilling part of my job here is making sure that each of our clients and their pets have a positive experience.

As an Ohio native, I really enjoy the Florida "dog walking" weather and being able to participate in my favorite outdoor activities even in the winter! My husband and I share our home with four cats; Clair, Pete, Sam and Tina, two dogs named Logan and Andre and four rescued birds.

Amanda Heath, Administrative Assistant

I've been at Northeast Animal Hospital since 2005 and have had the privilege of working in a few different areas of the practice- first as a Pet Care Coordinator, and now as the Administrative Assistant. I truly enjoy being a part of all that goes on behind the scenes here at the hospital, especially when various projects allow me to draw on my creative side for graphics and design.

Along with hobbies that allow me to be artistic, I love spending time with my husband and daughter, family, friends and our two dogs, Lily, a miniature dachshund, and a Chihuahua/dachshund mix named Petunia.

Kathy
Kathy, Pet Care Coordinator

I've been at Northeast Animal Hospital since 2004 and have cross-trained in many areas of the hospital, but am currently working as a Pet Care Coordinator. I graduated from The University of Missouri where I played volleyball and majored in psychology.

I enjoy boating, walking, biking, reading, volleyball and spending time with my pets, family and friends when I am not working hard. I have two pets; a black and white cat named Holstein who enjoys bossing around his dog Prince Coal, a Great Dane who enjoys short walks and long naps on his couch.

Tina, Pet Care Coordinator

I've had the pleasure of working here at Northeast Animal Hospital since 2007 as a Pet Care Coordinator, but have worked in the veterinary field since 2005.

My first love is horses, but in my off time I enjoy civil war reenacting, reading and shopping. I have two cats, Spooky and Sapphire. Spooky is my seven-year old spoiled rotten black cat I got from a friend who could no longer keep her. Sapphire was the house cat at a previous animal hospital I worked. When she needed a home, I was the lucky recipient.

Sheila
Sheila, Veterinary Team Assistant

I began here at Northeast Animal Hospital in 2007. I primarily handle and provide for the needs of pets that are boarding as well as assist the nurses and technicians when needed. Although this is my first time in this field, I am sure I could not have found a better hospital willing to give so much attention to the needs of animals.

In my off time, I enjoy painting from photographs and walking in parks to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. I have two corgis named Noah and Sheena. They love running at the park and playing in mud puddles. To curb their temptations, we plan trips to the beach. That gives them the water sports their herding breed must be lacking.

Rose, Veterinary Nurse

I began working here at Northeast Animal Hospital in the beginning of 2004. Although I love all aspects of my job, I truly enjoy working with the pets and hospitalized patients.

When I am not working with the animals, I enjoy canoeing, kayaking, going to the beach, outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends. I have five pets: two dogs, B.J. and Lady and three cats, Dinky, Moo Moo and Kitty. Not to mention the occasional birds and squirrels I rescue and rehabilitate to release.

Julie, Certified Veterinary Technician

I've been a certified veterinary technician since 2005, but have worked in the vet field since 2003. I attended St. Petersburg College's veterinary technician program. My favorite part of my job is the puppies and kittens as well as the basic care for the animals.

I have one daughter and two Jack Russell Terriers named Bentley and Mickey. I love riding bikes, working out and going to as many baseball games as I can.

I have always loved animals and am glad that I am lucky enough to have a job that allows me to help owners care for their pets.

I have two cats of my own, Sunshine and Gatita, both orphans that I bottle-fed. I also have a golden retriever named Honey. When I'm not working at Northeast, I enjoy traveling, kayaking and going to the beach.

I have been here at Northeast Animal Hospital since the fall of 2006. My duties include keyboard and mouse warmer, paperweight, and the resident entertainment for our clients and their pets. My favorite parts about being here are all the attention I receive and performing tricks for our guests- not to mention breakfast, lunch and dinner!
